A shout out for Easy As Pie that I just wanted to share with you all! This letter proves that you don't have to be in a wealthy suburban area to have a profitable business!
Being good in business is the most fascinating kind of art. Making money is art and working is art and good business is the best art. ~Andy Warhol
There are a million defining moments in life. Things that define who you are, what you think and who you want to be. The same can be said for our art; and even more so, for our businesses.
One of the things I appreciate so much about EAP is that, if you let it, it can be one of those defining moments you look back on when it comes to your business. I think so many of us ‘jump in & swim’ without really know where we’re swimming to or why. Or even how to breath so we can make it one full lap.
I am so thankful I came across EAP when I did. It gave me the confidence to move forward in the direction I was already leaning. It gave me the confidence to further value myself, my business and, more importantly, my time. It gave me the confidence to find & work with clients who feel the same as I do. And this one’s a biggie. It allowed me to value the time with my family & my kids even more so.
I will tell you that when I ‘met’ Alicia, I was already feeling like I was making positive steps in the right direction. But I had goals that I wanted to meet. I posed them to Alicia – before even buying Easy As Pie (yes, I am one of those, you can ask Alicia, we e-mailed back & forth several times before I took the plunge), she was so great in answering my preliminary questions & fears. But you know what the best part was? There was no pressure in getting EAP. Only support. Only words of encouragement listening to my story, my journey and confidently saying that I would meet my goal, she had no doubt about it. She even said I had the potential to easily meet that average.
Honestly, I didn’t know how she could be ‘so sure’. The other kicker: I’m in small town USA. I think within our city limits, we have 35K people. And if you’re envisioning a nearby city of several hundred thousand or a neighboring suburb or two of another 50+, let me just put that thought out of your head. ;) This ‘small town’ is it folks. The next big city is about a 7-hour drive away.
Within four months, I had my highest sale ever and by the end of this season, I surpassed my average goal (just as Alicia assured me I would). What I thought was a long shot, what I thought was me being hopeful, was an attainable vision with time, hard work, the right support system, and EAP.
Which brings us back to the quote above. By the time I came across this quote, I was already several years into my business and over seven months into EAP. It was a light bulb moment for me, to be able to verbalize what I’ve felt for over a year now.
Life is a crazy thing. If you took ‘a leap of faith’ to start the business & the life you had envisioned in your mind, I hope you’ll also take that ‘leap of faith’ to set your business & your work on the right path, through respect (http://brandcampblog.com/sales-and-respect/ ) and confidence. It’s an amazing thing to have a renewed sense of Value in your life & work.
